Sweetest caplet with pink, yellow, blue, purple and green; the flower stems are mirrored in the knitting, which features alternating rows of eyelet flowers and cables. Crochet-covered buttons (spare button sewn to the interior). Fringe to bottom.

The cape is in good, clean vintage condition; the only major flaw is a light brown/yellow stain (about 1.5” diameter) (see pic) close to the top centre; there are also two other stains, too faint to capture on camera, one to the front centre bottom and one to the back (barely noticeable, but I wanted to be forthcoming).

Barbara Lee was in business between 1922-1986; the trademark for this particular tag was filed in 1955.

Vintage “M” tag, but by modern standards this is more like a Small. Approximate measurements (laid flat): 9” neck opening; 27” wide bottom hem; 23” centre length (inclusive of 3” fringe).
