1950s Red scarf with white-grey poodles
€36.00
This scarf is a wounded bird with a burn hole (probably from cigarette ash), a much smaller pin hole; numerous small stains, a hand-repaired corner (see pics), and plenty of storage wrinkles—however it is still a very charming piece, depicting a yellow-collared, well-groomed poodle in eight poses. The illustrations are realistic, rather than impressionistic.
The particular red of the background is difficult to catch on camera…it is not a bright lipstick red, but a little pinker and more muted.
No tags. Believe the fabric to be a cold rayon. Machine-hemmed.
Measures 27” x 26”.
