1960s/1970s “The Leprosy Mission” tea towel. Pure linen. Likely Irish.
€20.00
Yes, someone made a tea towel for a leprosy mission! Featuring some of the mission’s locations and buildings and a map of the disease’s worldwide distribution, the white cloth has a grid of vivid purple, a banner of neon green, brick-red writing and cartography, and bright blue tinted illustrations.
Would make a great gift for those who love the weird or macabre. Also suitable for framing.
Sourced in Dublin and likely Irish-made, circa late 60s or early 70s.
Excellent, clean vintage condition; looks to have never been used.
Measures approximately: 30.5” x 19”.
