1970s Amber tube and sterling silver Modernist ring. Size Medium (US 8), Likely American.
Lovely little tubular piece of Baltic amber suspended by a half band of silver and mounted on a thin silver shank. The setting really lets the amber glow and glimmer when struck by the light.
The outside of the shank is stamped "925" to the centre; I've not tested the stone, but am 99% sure that it's Baltic amber.
Excellent condition, bar a small chip to the edge of the amber (only visible under magnification), which actually looks like it may be a void from a piece of inclusion coming loose—barely noticeable and does not affect the stability of the stone. I’ve left the vintage patina, but the metal could be polished to bright silver by buyer if desired.
Approximate measurements: 18mm internal diameter (about a US 8), band 2mm wide, amber 10mm x 5 mm; weighs 1g.
