Very detailed pin showing three cats seated beside one another on a doorstep or perhaps a hearth. The colourful cats shown are a striped orange ginger tabby, a black and white tuxedo cat, and a black and grey tabby kitten.

The enamel work is not true cloisonné, but would be more correctly called ‘stamped basse taille’ enamel.

Also, rightly, this brooch is by Fish Enterprises Ltd, not “Fish and Crown”, as the latter is associated with the US market. I believe this is an older brooch designed for the UK market (Fish was a UK company), as the mark, showing three stylised fish, is for the parent company, Fish Enterprises.

In great vintage condition with no noted flaws.
