1980s Turquoise, purple and pink Memphis-Milano style Ikea whistling kettle. Rare collectible made in Japan.
€150.00
This postmodern-style kettle may have been made for the Japanese market as the volume is written in Japanese characters, as well as in English. Ikea was first based in Japan from 1974 to 1986, and after failing to crack the market in the Land of the Rising Sun, retreated from the country (they've since made another foray, beginning in 2006).
Some wear to the bottom, but kettle has no leaks and functions perfectly.
Kettle holds 2L water and measures 20cm high x 18.5cm diameter.
