Raw-edged, satiny, scoop-necked top made of cross-pleated and crumpled fabric that stretches to fit the figure and accommodate movement, a compromise between the extremely fitted bodycon styles of the 80s and the more relaxed 90s styles. This treatment of polyester, made through a combination of heat and pressure, was popularised by Japanese designer Issey Miyake in the late 80s.
