Scandinavian Mid Century Modern novelty moose designed as a massager, but would make a great children’s toy or would suit as an ornament with Midmod or Scandi decor.

Made entirely from wood, bar the two ‘nail eyes’, which attach the antlers. I believe the wood is teak and I’ve conditioned it with a light layer of (food safe) mineral oil.

A ribbon in Swedish yellow and blue attaches the original, somewhat saucy, tag, which reads:

“MASSAGE MOOSE. THE MASSAGE MOOSE IS IRRESISTIBLE!

• SOOTHES ACHING BACK MUSCLES.

• HELPS YOU RELAX

• CREATES GOOD RELATIONS.

• MAKES NEW FRIENDS.

WARNING ONCE YOU’VE STARTED USING THE MASSAGE MOOSE YOU NEVER KNOW HOW IT WILL END…

One wheel is also signed “Uppsala, Ta i Trä, Sweden”.

Excellent vintage condition with no noted flaws.
