1920s/1930s antique Art Deco microbeaded clutch purse with finger strap. Made in France.
Shimmering evening bag with tiny bugle beads arranged in spirals, like swirling seafoam.
The satin-gloss oyster-white tubular beads have been strung on pink thread, giving the purse the softest blush colour (originally this pink would have been a little stronger, but on the more exposed parts of the purse, the pink thread has been faded by the elements).
Lined in peachy silk. Ornate snap closure (working perfectly).
Great for both daytime and evening events. Would suit a vintage bride.
Condition: in remarkably good condition for a 100-year old purse; out of thousands of tiny beads, there are only about 15 missing (mostly along the edge of the flap); there are also two very faints stains, one to the front and the other to the back (see pics); the lining has some staining, and the flap’s interior shows signs of wear (see pics).
Measures approximately: 8” x 5”.
