1910s antique Arts and Crafts Movement off-white pocket square with geometric and floral design in blues, oranges, tan, and hot pink
€25.00
Machine-edged handkerchief or pocket square in what I believe is thick, cream coloured raw silk. Likely made in the 1910s-1930s.
The pattern, which includes sunburst and stylised flowers, looks to have been achieved, by hand, with a stencil. When held up to the light, 4 small flowers, not normally visible, can also be seen in a colour just a little darker than the off-white background (almost like a watermark).
Would suit the pocket of a 1910s-1940s suit.
There are a couple minor colour runs and one or two yellowish stains (see pics), but overall this hanky is in exceptional condition for its age, with no holes or tears, and the colours still bright and true.
Measures approximately: 11” x 10.5”.
