1940s green wool coat, fully lined

€150.00

This handsome, medium-weight overcoat is made of wool or a wool mix; it is fully line in bottle green synthetic satin. It has small shoulder pads typical of its era, self-fabric buttons with gold-foiled rings, wide cuffs, and a generous swing to the back. Its shoulder have darts to the front and a wide yoke to the rear.

The coat is in good condition, with the colour bright and consistent, but has a few nicks and tiny holes to the wool (see pic). No maker's tags, but a small, homemade tag "H.S. LEE" has been affixed, probably for drycleaning i.d. purposes.

Photos do not do this classic coat justice; it is versatile and very feminine.

Best suited to a small or medium frame. Flat measurements: at the shoulders 15", at the armpits 20", bottom hem 27", length 32".
