1950s/1960s Black wool swing jacket with hand-embroidered floral beadwork. Large/XLarge.
This boxy jacket is wool or a wool-mix (very smooth with no itchiness) and is fully lined in black acetate. All the beading, including the larger beads at the centres of the flowers, is in glass and is handworked. Bracelet-length sleeves with darts to elbows, and darts between the neck and shoulders. Thin, felt shoulder pads.
Two loose beads at bottom of embroidery and three tiny holes on one shoulder (hard to even see); otherwise in excellent condition.
No labels, but this garment is expertly made.
This is a straight-cut jacket, but would best fit someone able to fill out the shoulder breadth (about 17"). Measures: 23.5" pit-to-pit (laid flat); 23" bottom hem (laid flat); 23" length (approx); 17" shouder-seam-to-shoulder-seam (laid flat); 18" top of shoulder to bottom of sleeve.
