Rare 1930s pinky-beige, well-tailored, fully lined jacket with glistening, black “scribble” embroidery and bow detail. Small.
Structured 1930s top with a feature-zipper (fully working) painted to match the dusky-pink lining. Two tiny, lined, slash pockets at hips. Silk velvet trim to collar. Small shoulderpads under lining. Darts to back of elbows. Sunray metal Talon zipper with bell-pull.
The black scribbles are in a shiny, textured sythetic cord. Lining and velvet piping are silk. Believe the main material to be rayon.
The gauzy silk lining is shattered at the armpits (see pic), but intact everywhere else; some minor stress to outer fabric in two places and one small spot of scribble string needs to be tacked back down; otherwise, the garment is in good structural condition. Some slight colour variation throughout, probably from sun exposure.
There is no give to give to this fabric and I would class it as a modern size Small. Measures: waist 32"; armpit-to-armpit 37"; centre length 21".
