1970s gold-trimmed “Aynsley” bone china trinket box with the bust of a bridled horse to the top. Made in England.
€25.00
Very well made, oval china pill or jewellery box in with a lovely chestnut horse to the lid. The lid is trimmed in gold (looks like 24kt to my eye), and the exterior of the container is a light biscuit colour. The porcelain is quite light and delicate, but at the same time, very resilient.
Signed to the bottom: “AYNSLEY, ENGLAND, FINE ENGLISH BONE CHINA”.
Good vintage condition with no chips, cracks, or crazing to the china; there are some tiny places of missing paint to the top (see pics), but nothing major.
Measures approximately: 5.5 x 4.5 x 3.3cm.
