1990s collectible tin with Art Deco lady in jade jewellery and black gown holding mirror and powder puff. Made in Spain.
Tiny lithograph tin showing a woman applying powder with a puff, while gazing into a mirror. Her cropped, blonde hair is set in waves, and she wears a black, strapless, backless dress, with rose appliqués, held in place at her neck by a row of jade coloured beads that match her earrings and arm bracelet.
The original 1929 illustration, "Lady in the Mirror", by then 39-year old Spanish artist Federico Ribas, is in the Museo Gal in Madrid.
The tin itself was made by the Museo Perfumería Gal, Madrid, Spain. To the back is written, “The Heno de Pravia toilet soal offers you this beautiful printed box to keep your smallest things”.
A great little travel case for your toiletries or jewellery.
Some signs of wear to edges of lid and a couple tiny scuffs to the box, but otherwise in good, clean condition.
Approximate measurements: 8 x 5.5 x 1.5cm.
