1960s/1970s hand-hammered, unisex, copper cuff with brass Triquetra and heavy vintage patina. Made in Ireland.
€65.00
Artisan-made, Mid-Century, solid copper cuff with an applied brass Triquetra.
The Triquetra, or Trinity knot, is an ancient depiction of a three-cornered knot said to symbolise unity, protection, and everlasting life, and used heavily in Celtic and especially Irish art.
The cuff is stamped to interior tip: “MADE IN THE REPUBLIC OF IRELAND”, and was likely made in the 1960s or early 1970s. Possibly an early, unsigned piece of artist Fergus O’Farrell who worked a good deal in copper.
Great vintage patina and verdigris that I’ve left intact, but buyer could polish metals to bright shine, if desired.
Approximate measurements: cuff is 2 inches high, inside width 2 1/4”, opening gap 1”; weighs 41.1g.
