1960s white ceramic canister with illustrations of two women bedecked in fruit and flowers. Wood lid. Made in Germany.
€0.00
Lovely “betthupferl” (“bedtime treats”) jar that once held sweets. Illustrated all around with ornate flowers and plants, between which are two swan-necked ladies, one bearing an apple atop her rainbow locks, and the other a pear.
The style of the illustrations is very similar to Danish artist Bjorn Wiinblad’s for Rosenthal.
A loose-fitting wooden lid sits on top of the jar.
Sticker to the bottom reads: ”Thö Handarbeit".
No noted flaws—this container is in very good vintage condition for its age with no cracks or chips.
Measures approximately: 11 cm diameter, 11 cm high (including lid); 500g.
