1970s does 1930s tiered, orange-sherbet chiffon flutter gown. XSmall: 25” waist. Made in the USA.
This romantic, peachy dress has tiered layers of gauzy, floaty, synthetic chiffon, tiered in 1930s style. With a scooped back, shoulders that spill into a capelet and layers and layers of sheer, sorbet froth below the pinched waist, this is a delicate and feminine concoction.
Sculpted bust and scooped back. Half-length, metal zipper to centre back. Underdress is orange acetate.
Labels: “DRY CLEAN ONLY”; red, white, and blue Union label, signifying this dress was made circa 1974 to 1995; I estimate it was made 1974-1977.
There are numerous, scattered pinholes throughout the chiffon (see pics), but these are small, in the main, and will go largely unnoticed in the fold of the fabric; one larger hole is also pictured. Otherwise in clean, ready to wear condition.
Size: X-Small. Approximate measurements (laid flat): 12.5” waist; 16.5” armpit-to-armpit; 53” long.
