1996 “The Book of Runes” by Ralph Blum, 10th Anniversary Edition. Hardcover. Illustrated.

€0.00

First published in 1982, “The Book of Runes” is “A Handbook for the Use of an Ancient Oracle: The Viking Runes”. Blum writes: “The Runes as described here are healing, merciful Runes; they will do you no harm,” and says, “Remember that you are consulting an Oracle rather than having your fortune told…An Oracle points your attention towards those hidden fears and motivations that will shape your future by their unfelt presence…”

Author Ralph Blum is a Harvard-graduate, Fulbright scholar, and anthropologist trained by Margaret Mead. He originated the modern usage of runic divination with this book, inspiring a contemporary following of and readings of the runes.

This 1996 edition is stitched together with white thread, printed on satin, buff coloured paper, and has plenty of illustrations of the Viking runes, including two guides printed to the interiors of the front and back covers. No runes are included in this addition. 152 pages.

In very good condition, with the only flaws being some scuffs to the corners of the spine and a hand-written dedication from 1996, when the book was given as a Christmas present.

Measures approximately: 18.5 x 13.5 x 1.5cm.
