Pair of elegant, modernist, organic-shaped, sculptural metal tea light holders designed by Danish minimalist Helle Damkjær for Georg Jensen.

The contrast of the heavy steel’s dark, subtle sheen with the spare, sensual lines of the forms is striking. The forms were inspired by opening Japanese cherry blossoms. Signed: “GEORG JENSEN/DENMARK” to the bottoms.

Excellent vintage condition, with just a few light, feathery signs of use and one very slight round mark to one of the bases.
