Early 1930s peach-pink, bias-cut, long rayon "Garfinckel's" slip. Medium-XLarge. USA.
With narrow, adjustable straps, whipped-papaya coloured rayon, soft champagne lace, and a flattering bias cut, this negligee is the ultimate feminine accessory for a 1930 or 1930's style outfit and would be especially pretty with one of the era's semi-sheer dresses.
Made by Bryn-Fair. The patent number 1877745 was filed in 1931 by Harry Garfinckel. Despite being over 80 years old, this full-slip in in excellent vintage condition—even its label is in immaculate order.
Size: Medium-XLarge. Because of the panelled construction and bias cut, this gown will drape flatteringly on a variety of body shapes and sizes. Measures: 36” bust; waist approx 36”; 52” centre length (including straps at max length).
Purchased as part of a collection from an American estate.
