1982 sterling silver Celtic knot pendant on extra long, heavy silver link chain. Made in Ireland. Fully Hallmarked. 18.4g.
€0.00
Celtic Revival necklace featuring an elaborate, geometric shield knot in sterling silver, strung on a very long 78cm link chain. The shield knot is said to ward off evil spirits and also to represent eternal love/friendship. I have never seen another pendant of its kind, although it was produced by the popular Dublin jewellers, Solvar.
Pendant stamped: “SD” (for Solvar), “925”, and “925”; chain clasp stamped “LAM”, “925” in 3 places, and has the Sheffield import mark as well as the “H” date letter for 1982.
Excellent vintage condition with no noted flaws.
Measures approximately: pendant 3.5 x 3.5cm (+1cm length for bale); chain 78cm long; 18.4g.
