Set of three Y2K Irish sterling silver Modernist rings, two with gem stones. All signed “MTL” and Hallmarked. Made in Ireland.
This trio of minimalist rings look great stacked, worn on different fingers, or worn separately.
The first ring is a thick band with peaks at either side. It has hallmarks for as well as the maker’s mark “MTL” and 925 for sterling silver. Approximate measurements: 1.8cm internal diameter (approximately a US 8), 5mm wide, 3cm length; stone 1” x 3/4”; weighs 8g.
The second ring has a bezel-set green cabochon, that I believe is prehnite with rutile needle inclusions. It has hallmarks for Dublin, Ireland, sterling, and the date letter “Q” for 2001, as well as the maker’s mark “MTL”. Approximate measurements: 1.75cm internal diameter (approximately a US 7-7.5), band 3mm thick; stone 9 x 7mm; weighs 4.9g.
The third ring has a bezel-set violet-blue cabochon, that I believe is an indigo iolite. Sterling Silver ring with, Hallmarks for Dublin, Ireland, sterling, and the date letter “O” for 2000, as well as the maker’s mark “MTL”. Approximate measurements: 1.8cm internal diameter (approximately a US 9), band 3mm thick; stone 6.5mm diameter; weighs 5.6.
All three rings are in great vintage condition; the silver of each shows some tarnish, which could easily be removed by the buyer, if desired.
