Fantastic Mid Century ladies sunglasses by Nil Melius. These are more ‘batwing’ than ‘cateye’, in my opinion!

Signed “Nil Melius/Made in Italy” to one arm and each lens is etched “Nilsol”; case is marked “PATENT/Made in Italy”. Perfect for that Rivieran cruise!

Condition (see pics for more detail): some of the tiny silver dots (maybe about 10) are absent, but this is only really noticeable upon close inspection (I had to use a magnifying glass); all rhinestones are present with good sparkle; some missing black paint especially to arm tips; overall glasses are in good, clean, and very wearable condition for their age; case has some fogging and scratches, but is intact and fully functional (I will include original cotton wadding but it is quite dirty!).

Case measures: 6” x 2.5” x 1”; glasses 5” x 1.5” (arms about 5” long)
