Supple black leather gloves with warm silk lining. These are a pleasure to slip your hands into—so soft! Made for Gimbels, a luxury department store chain founded in 1887 (and popularly featured in the films "Miracle on 34th Street" and "Elf").

Come with original plastic slip cover that reads, “MADE IN ITALY”. Three tags inside the right-hand glove read: "8/Made in Italy/618"; "100% SILK LINING"; "Made in Italy/Express for Gimbels".

Some signs of wear to leather, as is to be expected, but seams are all true and strong, inside and out; some pilling, a light run and some yellowish to silk lining on one glove, but seams are are all intact internally. In good, ready to wear condition.

Measure: 11” long; 4 1/2” wide at cuff (flat). Labeled a size 8, I would class them a modern Large.
