1960s faux-leather musical jewellery box with twirling ballerina.

This music box is covered in cream leatherette stamped with gold embellishments, and opens and closes with brass clasp and hinges. Inside, the box is lined with a vibrant red satin and is divided into two small compartments.

When open and wound with the key, the box plays the delicate 1930s waltz “Fascination” and the tiny plasticballerina twirls in her gossamer tutu, en pointe, in front of a triangular sliver of mirror.

As with many of these boxes, there is some wear to the leatherette, but it is overall in sound order, with the interior being in especially good condition.
